5-DAY LONDON TOUR
Day One: Museums & Galleries If you like Art & Culture, here you'll have a chance to compare 4 of the major museums & galleries in London: The Victoria & Albert Museum, The National Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery & the British Museum. These galleries offer a taste of London's tale of history from BC to 2025 through art & artefacts.
Day Two: The Big Three This is: Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral & the Tower of London. These buildings are household names in the UK if not around the world, and are three of the most iconic structures in London. They have been the sites of many a historical event in our history and are timeless.
Day Three: South of the River Along the Thames from London Bridge is a treasure trove of history and intrigue. From Borough Market to Southwark Cathedral, the Globe Theatre, HMS Belfast, The Golden Hinde, The Clink, mudlarking and simply the spectre of the city from this enclave on the river, you'll love what you find here. This day will be quite flexible, based on how you feel. I will introduce you to these various attractions and you can decide if you would like to enter them or not, or have a little more free time, or perhaps even get a boat down to Greenwich. We could even see a Shakespeare play at the Globe if you wanted to, or go on the London Eye.
Day Four: Hampton Court Palace Have you heard of "the Tudors"? To be honest, by this point in the week you'll know about them if you don't already know!! Hampton Court, however, is the home of Tudor history. Built by Henry VIII for his advisor Cardinal Wolsey, a step inside this place will take you right back in time to the jaunt and majesty of this era.
Day Five: Views from the Heath & Musing in Mayfair Meeting at Golders Green tube station, we'll head up to the beautiful Hampstead Heath to take a stroll and reflect among the calm of the park and see some gorgeous classic paintings (Gainsborough & Constable) at the renowned Kenwood House. After this we'll spend the afternoon around gentile Marylebone & Mayfair for a relaxing end to our tour. There are some very pretty mews & eateries where we can wind down and converse on the week!
